Growing up with the stories and folklore of our forefathers we deeply value the importance of our heritage, heritage sights, and nature.

Yet, as these stories were told, clouds of black smoke flowed over and around us from unmitigated waste management disasters. The explosive growth in tourism swiftly outpaced our island infrastructures, leading to the pollution of our once pristine waterbodies, and damaging the reefs that we depend on for food and shelter from storms. The cost of living went up as the demand for constructing new buildings outpaced the ability to bring more power and water generation online.

With our years of experience, a problem-solving mindset, deep connections, and undying love for our home region, our goal is to ensure that future generations throughout the region will not have to endure the same trials as us.

Our Mission

We aim to help small developing islands bring back their beauty. In doing so, we aim to help them become more resilient in the face of climate change, more future-proof in the face of global instability, and more autonomous by converting waste streams into valuable resources that can empower local communities instead of burdening them.

How?

A circular future for islands is a future where everything imported or locally produced has its place in the ecosystem to perform various functions multiple times over. Additionally, it involves improving the efficiency of energy and water usage throughout the islands. We offer our Engineering, Project Management, and Project Coordination services to Government Entities, Utilities, and Engineering Companies to hear them achieve their goals within these sectors.

However, the production of waste - which can be minimized - is still unavoidable. Yet, even here we believe that it can be given another life while minimizing its impact on the environment. Following this belief, SoualiGas has started its own Research & Development department to find ways to solve this, and we believe that we have found the solution: Waste Gasification-to-X.

Through careful selection of Waste Gasification Technology, we aim to breakdown waste into syngas (a mixture of H2 and CO), and solid carbon. While the carbon can be sequestered, the syngas can be used to create low emissions energy, methanol, and/or SAF, allowing us to help reduce our imports of Fossil Fuels, while making the use of syngas a net-negative carbon emissions alternative.

These (by)products of waste could instead contribute to local manufacturing, environmental remediation, renewable-sustainable energy, and agriculture to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Learn more about the goals we aim to contribute to below!
